Ketchup Canteen Review

I attended Ketchup Canteen not too long ago, which is an American themed take away shop which serves a range of burgers, steaks, chicken and sides which is located in Kings Park. While I was there I ordered 6 chicken tenders, 6 wings and a large serving of chips.

The food was very tasty and had a good amount of spice to the wings with a touch of sweetness. The same batter was used on the tenders so they also had a similar taste to the wings. The chips were tasty, crunchy and fresh with a good amount of seasoning.

The service of the employees was great with a very welcoming vibe to the restaurant which turned me into a regular customer.

Overall my experience was delightful and I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who is a fan of fried chicken.

Roji Monster Ice Cream

Here's something to try: ice cream that tastes just as good as it looks. Located in a small alley close to Gong Cha, Roji Monster Ice Cream Café is a Taiwanese café close to Burwood Station, serving cute monster dessert masterpieces. Although it is Taiwanese based, it is actually a Japanese inspired dessert place! These monsters look really similar to the puppets of the TV show, Sesame Street, and recent, popular posts can be seen via Instagram . There are five flavours to choose from: milk, uji matcha, cocoa, black sesame and a seasonal special, and on top of that, it comes with edible googly eyes and the option for two side toppings. Toppings include lychee jelly, honeycomb rice dumplings, chocolate sauce and many more. When I visited the café, we were directed to the ordering station, where we ordered via stamp cards, i.e. what flavour, and what two toppings we wanted, and then paid at the front counter. TOUKA Japanese Yakiniku Restaurant

Juan Bowl & Tea

This Japanese restaurant is quite small, cosy and intimate. This is also reflected in their menu, as there are only four main dishes and two desserts to choose from. There is however, an extensive range of hot and cold traditional teas. I came for brunch here with 3 other friends so we essentially ordered the whole entire menu except for the Unagi Hitsumabushi bowl (grilled eel). The main dishes were presented so aesthetically well and looked almost like art. Not only did it look fantastic, but it also tasted amazing. My personal favourite was the wagyu bowl – the onsen egg matched perfectly well with the wagyu roasted beef on top of the garlic buttered rice. As mentioned, there are only two desserts to choose from. Although limited with their sweets, both dishes were delicious.
